NEEM OIL

Extracted from the nuts of the neem tree, neem oil concentrates contain azadirachtin and related compounds (liminoids) that have many uses. In India, neem oil is added to toothpaste to reduce tooth decay. Though safe for mammals, neem oil is an effective suppressant for molds, mildews, and fungal diseases. It is also used on aphids, whiteflies, and many sucking insects. Neem oil smothers the eggs and larvae of many insects as well.

Cautions: An effective antibiotic, neem oil can harm soil biota if overused. Do not spray when beneficial insects are present. Do not spray open blossoms.
